BEAUMONT AND PEREZ TO COMPETE AT MORON BOXING'S "WAR ON YESTERDAY”

PhilBoxing.com

Los Angeles, CA – November 22, 2021 - WBA Fedebol super bantamweight champion Maikol Beaumont will defend his title on November 27 against Edixon "Dinamita" Perez in the "War on Yesterday."

It will be the main fight of the first event organized in Venezuela by international promoter Probellum and national promoter Moron Box, which will make Maracay vibrate with two regional titles, one national title, and a total of eight fights.

It will be “La Perla” Beaumont’s first defense of his Fedebol belt, a title he won in August when he defeated Yerny Betancourt by decision in Caracas. He has a record of 16 wins, 7 by knockout, 4 losses and 1 draw, while the challenger Edixon “Dinamita” Perez will try to dethrone Beaumont, bringing to the fight a record of 30 fights, with 24 wins, 18 by knockout and 6 defeats.

The fight will be contested over nine rounds, and both fighters will step into the ring of the mythical Centro Turistico y Recreacional Yesterday in Turmero in one of the most awaited confrontations in this division. It will be the second regional title fight this year in that venue.

In other fights on the special evening, Kelvinyer Salazar and Robinson Garcia will fight for the WBA Fedecaribe lightweight title, while Yoselin Fernandez and Deborah Rengifo will fight for the 108lb national belt.

The “War on Yesterday” will be the first event of the official alliance between Probellum, led by President Richard Schaefer, and the Venezuelan Moron Box, led by promoter Rafael Morón.

“We have a great opportunity to return Venezuelan boxing to the top,” said Moron. “This international alliance with Probellum represents a great boost, which will allow us to show the world our country’s talent in sports and organization.

“With Beaumont and “Dinamita” Perez as the stars, we have guaranteed a very good first show, which also has the consistent support of the World Boxing Association.”

Probellum leads a worldwide effort to promote boxing with global alliances, bringing together promoters in different countries and agreements with boxers such as Nonito Donaire, Regis Prograis and Badou Jack, among other great boxing names in the world.

Moron Box has managed the careers of several Venezuelan world champions, having in his ranks the Zulian Roger Gutierrez, WBA super featherweight world champion. Last September, he co-organized in Maracaibo the event called “Tribute to the Champion” in honor of Gutierrez, and in March, he inaugurated the Venezuelan professional boxing calendar in the Gilberto Mendoza Boxing Festival.
