In the second fight, Mexican Olympian Joselito Velasquez (14-1-0,9KO) beat veteran Gilberto Mendoza (1911-3, 10KO) of San Francisco via a unanimous decision. All scores were 80-72.  Mesa (L) throws a right at Gomez. Jose Antonio Mesa (9-6-0,2KO) survived a first round knocked down and came back strong to beat Jose Gomez, (12-1-0,5KO) in an exciting fight that ended with all the judges scoring the fight very close, 76-75.  Diaz and Salvatierra duke it out. Fernando Diaz (10-1-1,3KO) of Riverside CA scored a stoppage in round 5 over Jan Salvatierra (7-1-0,3KO) of Los Cabos MX. The referee stopped the fight at 1:15 of the round  Rodriguez (R) throws an uppercut at Romero. In the first televised fight on ShowTime PPV, Elvis Rodriguez (12-1-1, 11KO) of the Dominican Republic scored a 5th round KO over Juan Pablo Romero (14-1-9, 9KO). Romero was down in round 4. Time was 2:59 of round 5.  Vargas (R) connects with a left at Baez. Former bantamweight champion Ray Vargas (35-0-0, 22) of Mexico City won a unanimous decision over Leonardo Baez (21-5-0,12KO) of Mexicali. Scores were 100-90, 100-90 and 99-91. Anthony Dirrell (34-2-, 25 KO) of Flint Michigan won a 4th round KO over Marco Hernandez (15-5-2, 3KO) of Fresno, CA. Time 22 second in round 4.
