Oliver Daitol, Oriental Mindoro Chess Federation (OMCFI) President and Ernie Faeldonia, Romblon Chess Club Secretary General, the match is on its 3rd of undoubtedly many series to come. Romblon Marble Chess Team came from behind in game one 112-97 and proved their superiority in the second match 130-80 to beat the Mindoro Tamaraws. On the 3rd encounter last September 8, 2021, the Mindoro Tamaraws made sure that it will have a different outcome. Indeed, it was sweet revenge as the Tamaraws won the event 186-168. “I am very happy for the team and the province of Oriental Mindoro. It was a team effort! AGM Nezil Merilles inclusion to the team was a great help. We were able to match their top scorers almost point by point while our remaining players proved better that the other team,” said Team Manager AGM Emmanuel Asi. RMCT fielded their top players NM Jasper Faeldonia, Bryan Blair Fallarme, Doc. Jenny Mayor, Neph Bantang, Ernz Faeldonia, Carlito Faina, Jr., Joel Forcadas, Christian Servanez, John Paul, Canulo and Jher Morada. Tamaraws meanwhile enlisted Ronald Berdera, USNM Rainier Labay, AGM Nezil Arj Merilles, AGM Emmanuel Asi, Jemar Latombo, Mark Cuasay, AIM Joselito Asi, Erwin Jay Apuan, Alfred Dillupac, Mark Del Rosario, Alvin Dela Cruz, VJ Roxas, Engr.
