Split-T Management Fighters Diego Pacheco and Money Powell IV in Action PhilBoxing.com Sun, 28 Feb 2021  Diego Pacheco on the scales. NEW YORK (February 27, 2021) -Two Members of the Split-T Management stable will be in action tonight as undefeated super middleweight prospect Diego Pacheco takes on Rodolfo Gomez Jr. in Miami, while super middleweight Money Powell IV battles William Langston in Atlanta. Pacheco of Los Angeles, California and Gomez will meet in an eight-round bout at Hard Rock Stadium as part of the Canelo Alvarez - Avni Yildirim Card, and the fight will be streamed live on DAZN at 7 PM ET. Pacheco is considered one of the top prospects in the sport as his prowess has carried him to a record of 10-0 with nine knockouts. Still just 19 years-old, Pacheco already has wins over four undefeated foes, and in his last bout he stopped Juan Antonio Mendez (12-2-2) in two rounds on October 23rd in Mexico City Gomez Jr. of Laredo, Texas has a record of 14-4-1 with 10 knockouts. Gomez, 31 years-old is a 13 year-veteran, and he is riding a three-fight winning streak. During his recent success, Gomez has wins over two undefeated foes which includes Enrique Neira (7-0) and his last bout, where Gomez stopped Nosa Divine Nehikare (2-0) on March 6th, 2020 in Laredo, Texas At Friday's weigh-in, Pacheco was 168 lbs. Gomez was 167 lbs. Pacheco is promoted by Matchroom Boxing, and is under the guidance of Tim VanNewhouse. Powell will take on Langston at The Buckhead Fight Club in Atlanta. Powell of Fort Mitchell, Alabama is 11-1 with seven knockouts. The 23 year-old Powell is a six-year pro, who is coming off a 1st round stoppage over Patrick Pierre on August 22, 2020 in Fort Payne, Alabama. Langston of Kenosha, Wisconsin has a record of 3-1 with two knockouts. He is coming off a 1st round stoppage over Devin Tomko on October 31st in Columbia, South Carolina. Powell was 167 lbs at Friday's weigh-in. Langston was 166.6.  |
