February 26, 2021-The WBO World Middleweight title was on the line when Billy Joe Saunders took on Willie Monroe Jr. in a bout that will headline tonight's edition of Classic Fight Night on fubo Sports Network.
The fight, which took place on September 16, 2017, at The Copper Box Arena in London, England, featured two outstanding southpaws.
Saunders (24-0, 12 KOs) was making the 2nd defense of the title, while Monroe (21-2, 6 KOs) was the Boxcino Middleweight champion who was making his second world title attempt. Monroe was coming off a two fight winning streak, beating previous world-title challengers John Thompson and Gabriel Rosado.
