Tyson-Jones Jr Press Conference Quotes

The return of boxing legend Mike Tyson to the ring will have yet another attraction. The preview of the fight against Roy Jones Jr. in Los Angeles will be starring Nate Robinson. The 36-year-old former NBA player will debut as a boxer in a duel with Jake Paul, a 23-year-old American star on YouTube.

The World Boxing Council (WBC) announced that it will offer a belt to the winner of the showdown duel between Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. on November 28 in Los Angeles.

Jones Jr, has a record of 66 wins (47 KOs) and nine losses (five by K.O.) in 75 fights. The last time Mike Tyson, 54, stepped into the ring officially was on June 11, 2005 at the MCI Center in Washington and was defeated by Kevin McBride by withdrawal in the seventh round. Tyson had 56 career fights, 50 wins (44 KOs) and lost six (one KO).

Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. combine 116 wins and 91 knockouts as professionals. It is the duel of two of the most dangerous boxers in history.

- I think I'm in a great phase. I've been training too much. At first I was kind of resistant to the idea, but what could an opponent do for me that I couldn't defend myself? Then I was offered some opportunities here and there and now I'm ready for that - said Mike Tyson at an official combat press conference

- I still have my boxing with me, my game is still here. He (Tyson) is training well, hitting the bag well, we are two explosive fighters. It looks like we're young again. You can't do the fast-paced fight like in other times, but look at what he and I are training (...) I'm going to enter the ring against one of the most dangerous guys of all time. He is the best heavyweight of all time, I think that is reason enough for me to be well prepared - said Roy Jones Jr.

In addition to Mike Tyson vs. Roy Jones Jr., the night of November 28 will have six more fights:

Jake Paul vs. Nate Robinson (cruiserweight)

Badou Jack vs. Blake McKernan (light heavyweight)

Viddal Riley x Rashad Coulter (cruiserweight)

Jamaine Ortiz vs. Nahir Albright (lightweight)

Irvin Gonzalez Jr. vs. Edward Vasquez (featherweight)

Juiseppe Cusumano vs. Nick Jones (heavyweight)
