BUHAIN PREDICTS WIN FOR PACQUIAO
By Salven L. Lagumbay PhilBoxing.com Tue, 11 Mar 2008

Games and Amusements Board (GAB) Chairman Eric Buhain says Filipino icon Manny Pacquiao will win his rematch with WBC superfeatherweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez, but that he is keeping his fingers crossed for that knowing that the Mexican idol is an excellent champion.
Buhain, himself a former top-caliber athlete who attained Manny Pacquiao-like celebrity status in his athletic prime, says that all he can do is "pray for Manny's success for our country."
The young boxing executive revealed yesterday that unlike Pacquiao's previous bouts, he will not be able to fly to Las Vegas to watch the fight as he will devote his time with his wife, Congresswoman Eileen Buhain, who is in the family way and the GAB chairman knows that family comes first. "Maselan lang this time," was how the GAB chief described his wife's situation.
Buhain has always been a fixture in most of Pacquiao's recent bouts, and had supervised some of his most recent fights in the country and in Las Vegas.
Meanwhile, comedy king Dolphy and young actor Richard Gutierrez have also predicted a knockout victory for Pacquiao against Marquez.
?Magaling si Pacquiao kaya mananalo sia by knockout,? Dolphy was quoted by Phiboxing.com during the Fil-Am Films Awards night at the Kodak Center last March 7 in Los Angeles.
The following day, Gutierrez, paid a visit to Pacquiao at the Wild Card Gym, and was also impressed.
?I think Manny Pacquiao will knock out Marquez in the 8th round,? Gutierrez told Philboxing.com. Pacquiao, according to the report, waved to the actor but did not talk to him.
Gutierrez, who briefly chatted with Jinkee Pacquiao, reportedly left together with three other non-showbiz companions after 45 minutes and promised to watch the fight live in Las Vegas.
