Rivas loses by TKO to Valle

DAVAO CITY -- Filipina Carleans "Chay" Rivas suffered a TKO loss to Yokasta Valle of Costa Rica in the 6th round in the International Boxing Federation World female minimumweight title last Feb. 8 at Ciudad Deportivo Heiner Ugalde in San Jose, Costa Rica.
The 31-year old Rivas took her seventh loss against eighth wins and four draws while 27-year old Valle scored her 20th victory with nine knockouts against two defeats.
Valle earlier won the IBF World female minimumweight by a split decision over defending champion Joana Pastrana of Spain last Aug. 4 in Spain.
The boxing promoter was Mario Vega of 3MG Boxing.
