PhilBoxing.com

Boracay Island, Philippines – Spurred by torrid shooting from the rainbow territory, the Toronto Raptors dominated the Washington Wizards 140-111 on Friday night (Saturday morning, Philippine time) at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada.

The defending champions set a new franchise record by making 22 from deep. In his second game back from a long injury layoff, Marc Gasol matched his career high 6 treys and finished with 20 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals, and 1 block.

Six other Raptors scored in double figures, led by the bench duo of Norman Powell and Terence Davis, who had 28 and 23, respectively, and made 9 threes between them.

With the victory, Toronto improved to 27 wins and 14 losses, currently at 4th place in the Eastern Conference team standings.

Sophomore guard Troy Brown, Jr. led Washington with 22 markers off the bench. Bradley Beal struggled from the field, hitting only 4 of his 12 shot attempts and finished with 14 points.
