NBA -- T-Wolves spurn skidding Spurs, 129-114
By Phil Hatzitheodorou PhilBoxing.com Thu, 14 Nov 2019

INDIANA -- The Minnesota Timberwolves continued on with their smooth start to the season with a methodical 129-114 demolition of the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday night (Thursday morning RP time) at the Target Center.
In moving to sixth place in the Western Conference standings, the T-Wolves leaned on small forward Andrew Wiggins to guide the winning path.
Wiggins responded with a fine effort of 30 points on 12-of-23 shooting from the field, including 4-of-7 behind the 3-point arc. The 6-foot-7, 194-pound Wiggins, whose father, Mitchell Wiggins, played as a PBA import in 1994, also hauled eight rebounds ans seven assists.
Karl Anthony-Towns added 28 points and 11 rebounds for Minnesota, which shot 49.5 percent from the field (45-of-91) and 32.4 percent from long distance (11-of-34). Jeff Teague chipped in 18 points off the bench.
"I feel like everybody is happy for each other. When someone does good, there's genuine love," Wiggins told the Associated Press of his team's chemistry and camaraderie,
It was the T-Wolves' second straight triumph, improving their won-lost record to 7-4.
The Spurs, meanwhile, got a combined 50 points from LaMarcus Aldridge and DeMar DeRoan but sill fell short as the team went only 3-of-17 from 3-point range. The Spurs were also out-rebounded 50-44.
With its third straight defeat, San Antonio dropped to 5-6 for ninth place in the crowded Western Conference.
