Top heavyweight contender Kubrat Pulev of Bulgaria cruised to a 10-round unanimous decision victory over Rydell Booker of Michigan in the Jamel Herring-Lamont Roach co-main event at the Chukchansi Park in Fresno, California Saturday night (Sunday in Manila) in a Top Rank promoted event. Judge Steve Morrow had it 99-91 while Fernando Villarreal and Carla Caiz both had it 98-92 all in favor of Pulev.
With the win Pulev has now become the mandatory contender of the winner of the Andy Ruiz vs Anthony Joshua heavyweight championship rematch scheduled for next month in Saudi Arabia.
