US OPEN 9-BALL CHAMPIONSHIP ENTRIES OPEN AUGUST 13 PhilBoxing.com Tue, 13 Aug 2019 With just eight months to go until the 2020 US Open 9-Ball Championship, player entries for the $375,000 event will open at 9am Eastern (6am Vegas/2pm UK) on Tuesday, August 13th at www.matchroompool.com. The US Open 9-Ball Championship will return to the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino Convention Center April 13 ? 18, 2020. Player entry fees remain at $1,000 and former champions receive free entry to the event. Players can opt to pay the full entry fee of $1,000 on sign up or pay a non-refundable deposit of $250, with the remaining $750 due to be paid by January 31st, 2020. The deposit option will be available until December 31st, 2019 or until the field is full. Entries will be processed by Cuescore via www.matchroompool.com. A number of officially sanctioned qualifying events will take place around the world as part of the 2020 US Open 9-Ball Championship Global Qualifying Series, with the first of these taking place at Sam?s Billiards, Portland, Oregon this August 24-25. Details of confirmed qualifying events can be found at http://www.matchroompool.com/usopen9ball/#qualifiers with many more qualifying events to be confirmed shortly. After sold-out crowds, record TV ratings and a full field of 256 players for the 2019 US Open 9-Ball Championship, players are encouraged to enter the 2020 Championship early to avoid disappointment. Prize money payouts will start from 97th place, with players reaching this stage receiving $1,000. Those who successfully progress from the double elimination stage will earn at least $5,000 with quarter-finalists taking home $7,750, semi-finalists earning $15,000 and the runner-up to be paid $30,000. Spectator tickets for the 2020 US Open 9-Ball Championship will go on sale on Friday, September 13th with full details including pricing to be announced shortly. The 2020 US Open 9-Ball Championship will be partnered by Diamond, who supply the Official Table; the cloth is supplied by Iwan Simonis and the Official Balls are Super Aramith by Saluc. Predator is the Official Cue of the event and Kamui are the Official Chalk and Tip.  |
