FM Mariano leads chess entries in Open Kitchen Invitational Rapid Chess Championship By Marlon Bernardino PhilBoxing.com Thu, 25 Jul 2019 FIDE MASTER (FM) Nelson "Elo" Mariano III will lead prominent woodpushers in the 2019 Open Kitchen Invitational Rapid Chess Championship on August 5 (Monday) at the Open Kitchen P. Tuazon Boulevard, Barangay Kaunlaran in Cubao, Quezon City (formerly LVN production). Opening Ceremony starts at 3:30 pm followed by Round 1. Fondly called Elo in the chess world, is the younger brother of Grandmaster Nelson "Jet" Mariano II, WIM Cristine Mariano-W?gman and Carmina Joy Mariano, is the head coach of Jose Rizal University chess team who won numerous local and international chess tournament, and one of the leading chess trainer in the Philippines. Also seeing action next month are Fide Master (FM) Christopher Castellano, Woman Fide Master (WFM) Antonella "Tonelle" Racasa, National Master (NM) Romeo Alcodia, Genghis Katipunan Imperial, Ederwin Estavillo and Auckland-New Zealand based Jun Isaac.
