MEPRANUM TURNS DOWN REMATCH WITH FUENTES!

According to sources, PBF flyweight champion Richie Mepranum has turned down an offer to face Philippine flyweight champion Rocky Fuentes in a rematch on February 22 in Mandaue City.
Vic Cabalog, who helped arrange the first fight between Fuentes and Mepranum, informed that the latter's group decided not to face Fuentes on February 22, indicating that they'd rather that they offer Fuentes instead.
The talented Mepranum owns a split decision victory over Fuentes in their December 2 encounter at the Araneta Coliseum recently.
As such, Mepranum will miss the chance to prove to all and sundry that he is indeed the better fighter, and will not pick up the Philippine title anytime soon, opting to retain the less-regarded PBF crown.
