Gonzales loses to Turapov

DAVAO CITY -- Roberto ?Bad Boy from Batangas? Gonzales of the Philippines lost to Anvar Turapov of Uzbekistan in the 4th round in a battle for the World Boxing Council Asian Boxing Council super lightweight title at the Bone Night Club in Pattaya, Thailand.
The 25-year old Turapov scored his 4th win and the 3rd knockout against one loss. Gonzales suffered his 6th loss against 28 wins.
Vaibhav Singh Yadav of India alias ?Ahir Boxer? knockout Phongsathon ?Fahpetch Sinpetch Singmanassak? Sompol of Thailand in the 3rd round to win the Asian Boxing Federation welterweight and the vacant World Boxing Council Asian Boxing Council Silver welterweight titles last June 30 at Bone Night Club in Pattaya, Thailand.
The 24-year old Yadav improved his record to six wins with four knockouts and one loss while Sompol suffered his 7th loss against 11 wins.
Yadav earlier knocked out Adiuj Yusoh of Thailand in the 2nd round on April 7.
Meanwhile, Anvar Turapov of Uzbekistan knocked out Roberto ?Bad Boy from Batangas? Gonzales of Batangas in the 4th round to win WBC ABC super lightweight title.
Murodjon Yokubov of Malaysia scored a technical knockout in the 7th round over Thongchai Kunram of Thailand to win the Asian Boxing Federation super lightweight title.
Michael Alan Flannery of United Kingdom knockout Uthit Punsen of Thailand in the 2nd round to win vacant ABF middleweight title.
The promoters were Alexader Shah, Joshua David Peatfield and Nazar Moroz of Evolution Fight Series. (Lito delos Reyes)
