Big Yellow's Fight Night: Azarcon vs Rojo for VISPROBA 108 Belt and More Saturday Feb 23 @ The Greenery, Cebu City

PhilBoxing.com

Cebu boxing fans can get ready for an exciting Fight Night.

Because Cebu's Big Yellow Boxing Promotions stages a thrilling admission-free pro boxing show this Saturday (Feb 23) at the 4-storey Commercial Building The Greenery, located along San Jose de la Monta?a Ave North (Jeepney 03A) here in Cebu City, a 7-bout fight event that can not be missed..!!

In the main feature, Davae?o Big Yellow fighter Clyde Azarcon -- fresh from knocking out tough Ronie Tanallon in seven chapters in Iligan City -- takes on brave warrior Garry Rojo, a man much appreciated by fight fans in his native Bohol.

Appreciated because even after losing 8 of his first 10 fights -- some of them in really rough knock outs -- Garry Rojo (9-12, 5 KO's) never gave up on boxing.

He kept on fighting, no matter what... with one word in mind: persistence.

That's why Garry is today a better fighter, and through the years boxing fans in Bohol have learned to value him, especially sensing that his tough battle against Clyde Azarcon (14-2, 5 KO's) is the most important in his life.

Important not only because Garry Rojo wants to prove that he is a tough 108-pound fighter in Visaya boxing.

But also because for the first time in his life the lion-heart Boholano battles for a title in pro boxing, and that is something.

Yes, Garry Rojo and Clyde Azarcon will wage war on top of the ring for the vacant VISPROBA (Visaya Professional Boxing Association) Light Flyweight Belt, and both men want so bad that strap.

Will Garry Rojo be able to claim belt and pride this Saturday at The Greenery, Cebu City? Or will Azarcon dominate him with superior skills and power?

The two 24-year-old men will rumble in a scheduled 12-rounds battle in the lighting-fast Light Flyweight division; and you have to be there.

MORE ACTION FIGHTS THIS SATURDAY AT THE GREENERY, CEBU CITY

In the co-man feature, local bantamweight Carlo Demecillo (11-5-1, 5 KO's) climbs the square ring at The Greenery to engage 20-year-old fellow Cebuano fighter Jeffrey Stella (4-6-3, 4 KO's) of Mandaue City.

Jeffrey Stella.

In his last combat, Carlo Demecillo, 22, fought to a majority draw against popular ALA fighter King Arthur Villanueva (32-3-1, 18 KO's) last November at IEC, while Jeffrey Stella also scored a draw against Junny Salogaol last October in Danao.

This time around both men want a clear win. Who will claim it?

In another action bout, southpaw featherweight Rhonvex Capuloy (3-1, 2 KO's) of Ozamiz City enters in battle against tough Mark Anthony Rotilles (2-3, 1 KO) of Bohol.

Furthermore, In the international fight of the evening, hard-hitting 130-pounder Ming Hung Lee (7-0, 5 KO's) of Taiwan battles brave Filipino super featherweight Matthew Fondales (0-1, 0 KO's) in a four-round battle; and all hands and throats at The Greenery will be cheering for the Pinoy boy. Lets see if he can pull the upset!

EXCITING FOUR-ROUNDERS READY TO ROCK

Bryan James Wild.

More fights. Popular 17-year-old featherweight "Wild Furry" Bryan James Wild -- trained by his dad, veteran man of boxing John Wild of Cebu's Wild Boxing Gym -- makes his second pro fight against fellow rookie Mikey Durano (0-1, 0 KO's ) of Danao City. Their collision is a 4-chapter saga.

Another rookie, April Jay Abne, makes his pro-boxing debut by colliding against 108-pounder Kervent Aresco (0-2, 0 KO's), am dangerous gladiator who hails from Compostela, a nice seaside town nearby Cebu City, and fight fians wonder ho will win the four-stanza symphony of leather?

Moreover, the first bout of the evening showcases two action newcomers facing each other: Arian Melgo can not wait to hear the first bell to engage fellow debutant Marvin Laping of Compostela, Cebu. Their 4-round clash is in the super flyweight division, and May the Best Man win.

In addition to good fights, the show will also entertain fans in attendance with live performances of Cebu's own reggaeton and fusion rock recording-artist band, Powerspoonz.

Boxing fan, this Saturday night, you have something really cool to do.

The fight event at The Greenery here in Cebu City is sanctioned by the Games and Amusement Board (GAB) Cebu Regional Extension Office headed by Madame Arlene M. Olondriz with the assistance of Cebu's GAB Boxing Chief Rolando "Lando" Mendoza and GAB Inspector Glenn Sonido Agena.

"Fight Night" this Sabado (Feb 23) at The Greenery in Cebu City is a production of Big Yellow Boxing Promotions in association with Con Equip Philippines, Old Meets New, KOA Tree House Sound Ballon, Inigos Restaurant and Tiger Beer.
