By Andrew Schroeder PhilBoxing.com Mon, 26 Nov 2018

MINNEAPOLIS - After trailing the opening half 50-49, the Minnesota Timberwolves bounced back with a strong second half to best the Chicago Bulls, 111-96, at the Target Center on Saturday night.
It was a nostalgic night in Minnesota where Zach LaVine returned to the arena that he once was the star attraction while Derrick Rose dueled against his hometown team.
But Karl Anthony-Towns stole the limelight with a workmanlike effort of 35 points and 22 rebounds as the Timberwolves won two straight and improved to 9-11, just one game behind for a playoffs berth. Derrick Rose added 22 points while Dario Saric pitched in 19 for Minnesota, which pulled through despite shooting just 40.8 percent from the field (42-of-103) and 7-o-34 from 3-point country.
LaVine turned in 28 points to pace the Bulls, who connected on only 32 of 80 shots and missed nine free throws. Jabari Parker finished with a strong 27 points and Justin Holiday added 14 in a valiant but losing effort.
With their second straight defeat, the Bulls have now lost six of their last seven assignments. Thet are currently in 13th place in the Eastern Conference with a 5-15 record.
