Rementizo Challenges Tanawat for WBC Asia 105 in Thailand

PhilBoxing.com

Young Filipino 105-pounder Marco John Rementizo (8-2, 5 KO's) of Cagayan de Oro wages the most important battle of his life when he climbs the square ring to challenge unbeaten Thai fighter Tanawat Nakoon (9-0, 4 KO's) for the WBC Asia Minimumweight Strap on Thailand's national TV Friday afternoon (Oct 26) at the legendary Rangsit Stadium in Bangkok, Kingdom of Thailand.

The Thai Asian champion Tanawat Nakoon is making the third title defense of the green and gold WBC Asian 105 belt that he captured by outclassing unheralded Indonesian Melianus Mirin last January in Bangkok, and now he defends it against the younger Filipino.

The titlist Tanawat Nakoon, 26, born in Ubon Ratchathani in Thailand's Isan region, is indeed a fast-rising promising 105 pounder boxer. His title clash Friday afternoon against the Pinoy Marco John Rementizo will be his 7th combat this year, a very active fighter indeed.

However, all of Tanawat Nakoon's fights have been in Thailand against unheralded fighters from various Asian countries.

For the 21 year-old Rementizo, the battle is without a doubt the most important fight in his young boxing career. It's also his first one against a foreign fighter and his first one outside of his native Philippines.

Will the local Thai Asian Champion Tanawat beat the Filipino Rementizo for a successful WBC Asian 105 title defense?

Or will the brave challenger Marco John Rementizo be the one to beat the odds, scoring an impressive, rewarding win Friday afternoon in Thailand to become the new WBC Asian Champion?

The Tanawat Nakoon vs Marco John Rementizo - a clash of southpaws for the WBC Asian 105 title - is a production of veteran Thai promoter Piyarat Wirat Wachirarattanawong of prolific fighting outlet Diamond Boxing.

Fight Supervisor is veteran WBC official and former boxer Suraphote Pongjivanich.

In attendance during the fight will be Thai manager promoter and man of boxing Supanat Chanram.

The Friday afternoon battle will be broadcast live throughout the Kingdom of Thailand on Thailand's Channel 7, an open TV network owned by the Royal Thai Army.

Links carrying Thailand's Channel 7 live signal are easily available on the Internet.
