Subaste wins Gold and 3 Bronze Medals in 2108 Asian Para Games in Jakarta

Dasmariñas bet Arman Subaste said that he want to use the cash incentive that he will get from the Philippine government after winning a gold and three bronze medals in the just concluded Indonesia 2018 Asian Para Games in Jakarta, Indonesia Oct 6 to 13.

Subaste, one of the top players' of Dasmariñas City mayor Elpidio "Pidi" Barzaga Jr. and congresswoman Jenny Barzaga said he want to buy a house.


"Yung cash incentive na matatangap ko po sa pagkapanalo ko ng 1 gold at 3 bronze medals sa 2018 Asian Para Games sa Jakarta, Indonesia ay gusto ko pong bumili ng bahay po parang investment na din po. At ipagpapatuloy ko din ang pag-aaral ng masters degree ko po," said Subaste, a public school teacher at Bautista Elementary School in Dasmariñas City, Cavite.

Subaste along with Redor Menandro and Israel Peligro scored at total of 13.0 points to pocket gold for the Philippines in the men's individual standard VI - B2-B3 team event.

Subaste also nabbed a bronze in the men's individual standard VI - B2-B3 after tallying 4.5 points.

After conquering Asia, Subaste set his eyes in Moscow, Russia next year.

"Next year nais ni coach James Infiesto na sumali kami sa Moscow, Russia para sa International Braille Chess Association (IBCA) Chess Championships." said Subaste.

Subaste is in a rigid training for the upcoming Grand Finals of the 2018 Alphaland National Executive Chess Championship, organized by Philippine Executive Chess Association to be held on December 1 to 2, 2018 at the Alphaland Place Makati, Malugay Street along Ayala, Makati City.

"Ngayon kasi may top priority is manalo sa PECA grandfinals this December." added Subaste who tallied five wins and two loses last September edition to clinch berth in the national finals of the event sponsored by Alphaland Mall.

Subaste is a Bachelor of Secondary Education Major in Biology College Course at the Philippine Christian University in Dasmarinas City, Cavite and took up nine units for Masters of Arts in Education at the same school.

With his latest feat, Subaste would like to thank his supporters Dasmariñas City mayor Elpidio "Pidi" Barzaga Jr. and congresswoman Jenny Barzaga, coaches James Infiesto and Roel Abelgas, PSC, Philspada, his team mates Redor Menandro and Israel Peligro and his family and friends.-Marlon Bernardino-
