NBA Finals -- Vince Carter is a big Pacquiao fan, wonders if the Senator owns PhilBoxing
By Sean Yu PhilBoxing.com Thu, 07 Jun 2018

OAKLAND. NBA great Vince Carter, who has played 19 years in the league, was one of the familiar faces that attended Games 1 and 2 of the NBA Finals at the Oracle Arena.
Having last played for the Sacramento Kings this past season, Carter still looks good at 41 and could land a new home during this hectic offseason. Meanwhile, we got to talk to him for a few minutes at the Golden State Warriors home floor.
When he found out that this writer's affiliation is PhilBoxing.com from the Philippines, the dunk artist also known as "half-man, half-amazing" professed his admiration for Senator Manny Pacquiao, our very own eight-division champ and former pound-for-pound king. "Please tell him I said hi," Carter quipped.
"Does Pacquiao own PhilBoxing?" Carter added.
Good question. Pacquiao has many business ventures, what with his entrepreneurial spirit, but PhilBoxing is not one them. PhilBoxing.com was founded by publisher Dong Secuya several years ago and has since steered its success through blood, sweat and hard work.
A product of the University of North Carolina, the same school Michael Jordan went to, Carter entered the NBA as the No.5 pick in the 1998 draft. He has since played for the Toronto Raptors, the New Jersey Nets, the Dallas Mavericks, the Memphis Grizzlies, the Orlando Magic, the Phoenix Suns and the Kings. He has appeared in 1405 regular season games and has career averages of 17.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.3 assists per.
