PhilBoxing.com

CHONGQING, CHINA ? Two undefeated boxers Dong Youli of China and Thotsaphol Thongplew of Thailand will dispute the vacant WBO Asia Pacific Youth welterweight title April 21 at the Wansheng Sports and Culture Stadium.

Dong (11-0-1,7KO?s) is the reigning WBO Greater China welterweight titleholder and will be facing his first foreign foe. Thongplew (6-0,3KO?s) is fighting out of Thailand for the first time. Both weighed in at 146lbs during the official weigh-in held Friday at the fight venue.

Supervising for the WBO will be WBO VP for Asia Pacific Leon Panoncillo.

Yilixiati Ainiwaer of China will be pitted Yevgeni Makhteienko, from the Ukraine, for the WBC ABCO super middleweight title.

Yilixiati (12-1,10KO?s) won the title last December in Zhongshan, China by second round TKO against Tornike Gikashvili of Georgia.
Makhteienko (10-9,8KO?s) is well traveled having fought in the Czech Republic where he is based, in Germany, Russia, Morocco, Uzbekistan, Belarus, Poland and Denmark.

During the official weigh-in, Yilixiati stepped on the scales at the division limit 168 lbs while Makhteienko was two pounds lighter.

Supervising for the WBC ABCO is Damrong Simakajornboon of Thailand.

Also set to appear on the undercards are Mu Xiaolu vs Zou Bingcheng (6 rounds), He Jianglu vs Wang Liming (4 rounds) and the female match between Huang Wensi vs Wang Qi (4 rounds).

Su Cheng (China) vs Chaloemporn Sawatsuk (Thailand) has been downgraded to an exhibition after Chaloemporn came in more than 10 pounds overweight and was no longer capable of shedding his excess pounds.

The first day of the back to back fight card was held Friday evening with Wuzhati Nuerlang of China pounding a one-sided unanimous decision win over Alexander Bajawa of Indonesia after six rounds. Scores of 60-54 from judges Mark Leong, Edward Ligas and Surat Soikrachang. The referee was Atty Danrex Tapdasan.

Zhang Bangxin beat Yang Xiwei by TKO in the fourth round and in the female match Yu Lijie won by split decision against Pan Lijuan.

This two-day card marks the start of season four of Major League Boxing which is promoted by SECA and Top Rank. The fights are sanctioned and officiated by the Professional Boxing Commission (PBC) of China
