CHICAGO ? The Chicago Bulls scored their third straight victory by beating the Kyrie Irving-less Boston Celtics, 108-85, on Monday night at the United Center.
The 23-point win was the largest winning margin for the Bulls, who had lost 10 in a row before this ongoing win streak.
Chicago improved to 6-20.
The Bulls broke away from a close 29-28 first quarter by going on a 24-4 run and holding the Celtics to a season-low 13-point quarter. The Bulls kept their lead throughout the entire second half and led by as many as 30 in the quarter.
Nikola Mirotić led the Bulls with a game-high 24 points on 9-of-14 shooting, including 3-of-7 from 3-point range. Mirotic also grabbed eight rebounds. Bobby Portis scored a career-high 23 points on 10-of-15 shooting.
Al Horford led the Celtics with 15 points while Jaylen Brown and Marcus Smart contributed 13 apiece. Boston's star point guard Kyrie Irving sat out the game with a quad contusion.
