THREE DAY FIGHT CARD IN JINAN By Rene Bonsubre, Jr. PhilBoxing.com Sun, 22 Oct 2017 JINAN, CHINA - The Maida Energy Sports Center was the scene of three straight days of professional boxing action. The first day of competitions started Thursday with Zeng Yujie stopping Xu Hui in two rounds, Yang Lishan won by split verdict against Dong Shoupeng, Peng Yong vs Ma Qiang ended in a split draw, Lu Sishun beat Chen Jinwu by unanimous decision and Saierlan Muerzhabieke and Wang Yingang battled to another split draw. The second day featured six bouts - Xia Wei beat Aerlan Bolati by majority decision, Lu He got a second round TKO win Guo Facheng, who suffered a shoulder dislocation, Wang Yangyang won by majority decision against Zhu Huolu, Ahatelike Muerzhabieke stopped Yu Qingyuan in two rounds. Yu Zhiying had a good pro debut by beating the more experienced Zheng Chengbo by split decision and Su Cheng handily beat Saitibatihali Jumatai by unanimous decision. The third day had seven fights - Liu Shuchang vs Ma Zhong ended in a split draw, An Wanchao dropped Liu Wei with a right to the temple and won by TKO in the second round, Hai Mengjiang and Wu Lijun fought to majority draw, Zhan Zefeng dominated and beat Wang Lai by unanimous decision, Li Xiaolong vs Jiang Hang also ended in a split draw, Si Zhicheng won by unanimous decision over Liu Hongquan. The show was capped by Xu Weihao upsetting the favored Aizi Aili by split decision. It was a back and forth slugfest but Xu had the edge in accuracy, especially with his counter left hook, which also caught Aili all night while he was backing up. The scores ? Han Hongxiang ? 58-56 Aili, Xu Baijun and Li Feng had it 59-55 for Xu. The bouts were officiated and sanctioned by the Professional Boxing Commission (PBC) of China. The three day card marked the end of the third regular season of Major League Boxing, formerly known as the League of Fists. This professional boxing tournament was launched in 2015 by SECA and TOP RANK as a grassroots pro boxing talent search in mainland China.
