By Rene Bonsubre, Jr. PhilBoxing.com Thu, 04 May 2017

Sanman boxer Eden Sonsona (36W-6L-2D,13KO?s) eyes another big win on the road when he goes up against unbeaten Russian Evgeny Chuprakov (17W-0L,9KO?s) on May 5 at the DIVS in Ekaterinburg, Russia.
Sanman Promotions CEO Jim Claude ?JC? Mananquil informed philboxing that both boxers weighed 129.6lbs during the official weigh-in. They will fight for the WBO Intercontinental super featherweight title.
The 28 year old Sonsona scored a stunning upset win in Mexico over previously unbeaten Mexican Adrian Estrella two years ago. Sonsona won by TKO in the second round and got the WBC International Silver title.
The 27 year old Chuprakov won the WBO Intercontinental belt last November by majority decision against Jeremiah Nakathila of Namibia in a fight held also at the same venue.
Sonsona is accompanied by Sanman gym trainer Romeo Desabille and trainer-father Boy Sonsona. In his statement to philboxing, Sonsona said that he is ready to fight and bring the belt back to the Philippines.
