Philippine minimum weight champion Alex Aroy goes after the WBC International title when he battles South Africa?s Zukisani Kwayiba at the Carousel near Hammanskraal, Friday night.
The 21 year old South African who won the title with a tenth round TKO over another Filipino Gabriel Pumar when the fight was stopped after Pumar suffered a cut over his left eye is undefeated with a record of 10-0 with 8 knockouts.
Aroy who is coming off a sixth round technical decision loss to the highly promising and undefeated Milan Melindo last February 24 has a record of 12-4-1 with 6 knockouts. Aroy won the Philippine light flyweight title with a fourth round knockout over Dennis Juntillano on November 22, 2006.
Kwayiba successfully defended his title for the first time, scoring a smashing first round KO over countryman Sithembile Kibiti last March 30.
