PhilBoxing.com

CEBU CITY ? Two WBO Oriental belts will be at stake when unbeaten prospects from the Omega Gym of Cebu trade punches with the visiting Indonesians this Saturday.

Jhack ?El Capitan? Tepora, the defending WBO junior featherweight titlist, weighed in at 122 lbs while Indon Yon Armed was a pound lighter during the official weigh-in held Friday at the fight venue,
the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino.

Tepora?s stable mate, Christian ?The Bomb? Araneta, also made weight, at 107 lbs while Demsi Manufoe (11-6,8KO?s) of Indonesia was at 106 lbs. They will dispute the vacant WBO Oriental light flyweight title.

Tepora (19-0,14KO?s) has officially changed his moniker from ?Sparrow? to ?El Capitan? and stated that he doesn?t want to be associated with a small black bird and he wanted a new moniker.

Armed (14-7, 6KO?s)repeated his promise to KO Tepora but the Filipino countered by saying that his opponent better back it up on fight night or he will be the one who will get knocked out.

?Tepora is now ranked number eleven in the world by the WBO. If he continues to successfully defend his title, his ranking will go higher.? Panoncillo stated, ?The winner of the Araneta-Manufoe fight will be ranked in the top fifteen.?
