BOXING SAGA WRAPS UP THIRD MONTH

BEIJING,CHINA ? The second of a back to back weekend fight card was highlighted by close matches. The multi-functional Hall of the Water Cube in Beijing?s Olympic Park once again played host to ten professional bouts in the featherweight, lightweight, welterweight and middleweight categories.

Middleweights Niu Ye and Liu Yang opened the show and the fight ended in a majority draw. Judges Luo Mei and Du Liqiang ? 38-38,Li Xianhao 39-37 for Niu.

Mu Xiaolu got a unanimous decision against Zhang Hongpeng in their featherweight tussle. Judges Luo Mei, Du Liqiang and Li Xianhao ? 40-36.

Featherweights Li Yuzhe and Gao Xu also fought to a majority draw. Gao was on the verge of going down in round two but managed to hang on and remain in the fight. Scores ? Luo Mei and Du Liqiang ? 38-38, Li Xianhao ? 39-37 for Li.

Talifenghaoken beat Aorigele by TKO in the first round of their middleweight fight after Aorigele turned his back after suffering a left shoulder injury. Time ? 1:07.

In a blood-tinged middleweight brawl, Adili prevailed by unanimous verdict against Han Liangliang. In the opening round, a clash of heads opened a cut on the outer corner of Adili?s left eyebrow. This enraged Adili in the subsequent round as the fight turned nasty.
Scores ? Pichit Wongporamet and Wang Lin- 39-37, Peng Yuanlong ? 40-36.

Zheng Liangyu won by majority decision against Ning Xinbo in their welterweight match-up. Scores ? Pichit Wongporamet and Wang Lin ? 39-37, Yin Haiyang ? 38-38.

Ning Xinbo previously lost to Abulimiti Tuersunniyazi in the League of Fists welterweight semi-finals last May by unanimous decision.

He Jianglu beat Lu Qi by unanimous decision in their lightweight scrap. Scores of 39-37 from Han Hongxiang, Yuan Yunzi and Wang Lin.

In another lightweight fight, Sheng Yongchao got a majority decision against Weng Tao. Scores ? Peng Yuanlong and Luo Mei ? 40-36, Mekin Sumon ? 38-38.

Weng Tao was a League of Fists finalist in the junior welterweight division last June but he lost to Niu Zhongjie by split decision.

Li Caihui got a majority decision verdict aginst Wang Xuanbei in their welterweight match. Scores ? Pichit Wongporamet and Li Xianhao ? 39-37, Du Liqiang ? 38-38.

The show was closed by welterweights Kenbati Hailiyao and Zheng Mingliang, with Kenbati dominating the fight with hard body punches. Scores of 40-36 from Wang Lin, Yuan Yunzi and Han Hongxiang.

The fight series billed as BOXING SAGA was presented by GWTS Promotions and officiated by the Professional Boxing Commission (PBC), International.
