PhilBoxing.com

MANILA (Sept. 29) --- Former OPBF champion Ardin ?The Jackal? Diale and his undefeated opponent Ryan ?Singwangcha? Lumacad both made their weights today for their 12-round championship fight for the vacant OPBF Silver super flyweight crown tomorrow (Sept. 30) at the Strike Gymnasium in Bacoor City.

Diale tipped the scales at 114 lbs. while Lumacad submitted 115 lbs. at the Games and Amusements Board (GAB) main office in Makati City.

?Malaki ang respesto ko kay Diale. Magaling siya na boxer at beterano. Pero gagawin ko po ang lahat na Manalo sa kanya. Magandang laban poi to,? said the 24-year old Lumacad.
Diale, however is unfazed of his younger rival.

?Handa na po akong labanan siya. Mas beterano ako sa kanya,? said the 28-year old Diale, who has a record of 31 wins,10 losses and 3 draws with 15 knockouts.

Diale, however, lost his OPBF flyweight title by a 4th round knockout to Japanese Daigo Higa in his first title-defense held July 2 at the Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan.

Former WBC ABC champion and WBC International champion Richard ?Explosive? Claveras and Jeronil ?El Diamante? Borres, likewise, both made their weights for their 8-round title-fight for the vacant OPBF Silver flyweight crown.

Claveras was 114 lbs. while Borres was only 111 lbs.
?Gustong maging champion muli,? said Claveras (15W-2L-2D-13 KOs), who previously stopped Juan Purisima in the 9th round last June 10 in Mandaluyong.

Borres, on the other hand, vowed to beat Claveras. The 20-year old undefeated is eyeing for his 8th straight win.

The double OPBF championship is dubbed as the ?Knockout? The Best of the Best boxing card promoted by the MP Highland and United International Promotions.

It is supported by Sen. Manny Pacquiao, Rep. Strike Revilla and Mayor Lani Mercado-Revilla.

Pitted in the main supporting bout are 2012 London Olympic boxer Mark Anthony Barriga of Panabo City against Powell Balaba of Tagbilaran for 8 rounds.

Barriga (1-0-0) is only fighting for his second professional bout while Balaba already has 28 bouts with a record of 8-19-1.
Three Japanese boxers led by WBC Asian Silver flyweight champion Masazumi Furukawa of Tokyo, Japan will also see action against their Filipino rivals.

Furukawa takes on Jeven ?Mutya? Villacite of Butuan City while Sawa Iwai collides with Juan Purisima of General Santos City. Toshiko Era of Osaka will clash with Aron Lozano of Laguna.
