PACQUIAO WELCOMES MAYWEATHER REMATCH IF AGREED
By Maloney L. Samaco PhilBoxing.com Fri, 09 Sep 2016

When Senator Manny Pacquiao launched his fight with Jessie Vargas in a press conference in Los Angeles, California, reporters immediately asked him if he would consider a rematch with Floyd Mayweather, Jr.
"If the fans want it, and he wants it, then I'm open to it. I'm open to any fight," Pacquiao declared.
But the 37-year-old lawmaker hit his arch-rival like a punch on the face. "You know in his heart, he doesn't have concern for the fans. His only concern is to make money," Pacquiao said. "My concern is not only to make money but how I entertain the people, how I entertain the fans."
During his guesting of the show Undisputed by Fox Sports, the eight-division world champion expressed his feelings that he won against the former pound-for-pound king.
?I threw a lot more punches than him and I thought I did more than he did,? he said. ?But like I said, I know how to accept loss and I respect the decision of the judges."
Pacquiao would always fuel a twist to the result of the superfight. ?In my heart if you ask me, of course I still believe I won the fight.? Many die hard Pacman fans still deduced that he won that bout.
He had always cited a shoulder injury which slowed him down during the uneventful first encounter viewed by a record-breaking 4.4 million PPV buys and more than $500 million revenues.
Meanwhile Mayweather is always placing himself in the limelight and reports were hinting a comeback fight with Gennady Golovkin, Andre Ward or mixed martial arts sensation Connor McGregor.
A very impressive Pacquiao win over Vargas would propel the fighting senator back to boxing center stage. The more the press would talk about both blockbuster fighters. This could be one way of luring a rematch with Mayweather.
The Fight of the Century may be controversial but still at least a million fans would love to see a return bout.
