"Fifteen years after its enactment, the law is yet to be implemented fully, kaya nga pipilitin nating kumpletong maipatupad ang batas para ma-enjoy ng ating mga atleta coach at trainer at bago mahuli ang lahat," he narrated. "The law is actually what our athletes needed for so long and thanks to my Kumpareng Jawo, himself a former athlete, for charting this," he said. "It needs to be implemented fully para talagang madama ng mga benefiary ang benepisyong dapat nilang matanggap. "Na-aprubahan na rin ang Implementing Rules and Regulations ng batas kaya ang kailangan na lang ay maglaan ng budget para dito," Pacquiao quipped. "And, maybe, we can also increase its cash provisions. Let's see about that." Among the otther features of RA 9064 Pacquiao was referring to are: affordable "pabahay" loans and other housing opportunities, scholarships that will include the athletes' qualified members of his/her families, retirement benefits, death benefits, social security benefits among others.
