WHO?S NEXT: TEPORA VS. TINAMPAY PUBLIC WORKOUT AT ROBINSON?S

CEBU CITY ? Jhack Tepora of the Omega gym will be facing Jason Tinampay on March 6 for the vacant WBO Youth Asia-Pacific super bantamweight title. The fight will be held at the Atrium of Robinson?s Galleria and will serve as the launching pad for the WHO?S NEXT? Pro Boxing Series.

To promote the fight, Tepora (photo above) and his Omega gym stablemates Virgelio Silvano, Gerry Castroverde, Allan Villanueva, Royder Lloyd Borbon and Mark Vicelless had a public workout Sunday afternoon at the fight venue.

Omega gym fitness trainer Jop Gallardo explained the various exercise routines that the boxers went through to the fans who trooped to watch the workout.

Together with trainer Pingping and Jingjng Tepora, the boxers went through their drills as well as hitting the punch mitts.

Gallardo informed the fans about the importance of core exercises,planking and movement drills in a boxer?s preparation for a fight.

The 22 year old Tepora (16-0,11KO?s) will be risking his unbeaten record for a shot at the top 15 rankings of the WBO. Tinampay (7-2,6KO?s), who hails from Bohol, lost in his first attempt last year at a regional belt when he was stopped by Rimar Metuda in a WBF Asia-Pacific featherweight title fight last September. He has since bounced back with a TKO win over Marjhun Tabamo.

Completing the card are Virgelio Silvano vs Fernando Ocon, Mark Vicelles vs Ronald Cajes, Ar-ar Borbon vs Russel Rosales, Allan Villanueva vs Mac-mac Baribar, Fil-jun Taneo vs Anthony Galigao, Jerry Castroverde vs Ryan Quimbo.
