PRINCE ALBERT FIGHTS NICARAGUAN CHAMPION YESNER TALAVERA NOT KO ARTIST JONATHAN GUZMAN

ALA Promotions president Michael Aldeguer called us a few minutes ago to inform us that Prince Albert Pagara?s opponent in the February 27 ?Pinoy Pride 37? fight card will be champion Yesner Talavera of Nicaragua and not Jonathan Guzman as we reported earlier today.
Aldeguer said the 21 year old Talavera has a record of 15-3-1 with 4 knockouts and is ranked No. 15 by the World Boxing Association.
Talavera won the bantamweight title of Nicaragua with a unanimous ten round decision over Jose Rios on June 27 last year and then retained the crown with a unanimous ten round decision over veteran Everth Briceno on September 19, 2015.
Nicknamed "Cuajadita" Talavera is handled by two-time world champion Rosendo Alvarez.
Talavera overcame the experienced veteran Everth Briceno last September 19.
Talavera was not surprised and defeated favorite but without question an old fox like Briceno, who went to the canvas once in that fight.
