NBA -- Grizzlies' balanced attack stops Cavs

COLUMBUS, OH -- Zach Randolph led a balanced offensive assault on Monday night as the Memphis Grizzlies beat the Cleveland Cavaliers, 91-81, at the Value City Arena.
Randolph finished with 14 points while Jeff Green and Courtney Lee each had 11. Marc Gasol added 10 markers and four rebounds and the Grizzlies improved to 3-0 in preseason play.
Grizzlies point guard Mike Conley Jr, a former Buckeye who went to the Ohio State University, had only four points and nine assists but Memphis still got by, thanks to a 36-of-69 fare from the field, including 4-for-10 from 3-point range.
Despite playing just a shade over 25 minutes, LeBron James still led Cleveland with 14 points. Jared Cunnigham had 13 and James Jones chipped in 10. Richard Jefferson, a 14-year NBA veteran, swished three 3s for 11 points. Jefferson, a former Maverick who signed with Cleveland for the veteran's minimum this past summer, also had six rebounds.
Down 65- 55 at the end of the third quarter, the Wine and Gold Cavs cut Memphis' lead to three, 82- 79 with just under 3 minutes remaining in regulation, but a missed 3-point shot by Quinn Cook sealed the deal for Memphis.
The Cavs dropped to 0-3 in this exhibition season.
