NBA -- Markieff Morris wants ticket out of Phoenix

CHICAGO -- Barely a month after his twin brother Marcus was traded to Detroit to create salary cap room, Markieff Morris has formally made his intentions clear: he longer wants to play for the Phoenix Suns.
"One thing for sure, I am not going to be there," Markieff told the Philadelphia Inquirer on August 11. "That's just what it is," added the 6-foot-10, 245-pound power forward who normed 15.2 points, 6.2 rebounds and 2.3 rebounds per in 82 starts last season.
Markieff, who called himself the Suns' "premier" player, was obviously unhappy that his twin was shipped to the Detroit Pistons last July 2. At that time, the Arizona Republic reports, the Suns were trying to entice then free agent LaMarcus Aldridge to come to Phoenix and pay him a max deal.
Aldridge eventually signed with the San Antonio Spurs while the Suns are now dealing with an unhappy twin, who happens to be their most productive cog at the power forward position.
Last September, Markieff signed a four-year contract extension with the Suns worth $32 million. If the Suns can't get him out of Phoenix anytime soon, he plans on attending training camp on September 28.
"I've got to show up. No question. You can't do that. I will be a professional. Don't get me wrong," Markieff told the Inquirer.
