CASIMERO-RUENROENG PRIMER ON PBO-SKYCABLE, SATURDAY 8:30 P.M. By Ronnie Nathanielsz PhilBoxing.com Thu, 25 Jun 2015 On the same night that IBF mandatory challenger and former IBF light flyweight champion Johnreil Casimero steps into the ring at the Hua Mark Indoor Stadium in Bangkok to face Thailand?s world champion Amnat Ruenroeng, the top-rated weekly boxing show ?The Main Event? will telecast a primer on the fight on Pinoy Box Office (PBO) over Sky Cable at 8:30 p.m. with a replay on Sundat at 10:30 a.m. TV 5 will telecast the title fight on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. Fight fans will get an opportunity to see Ruenroeng who is being handled by Filipino manager/promoter and trainer Aljoe Jaro and his younger brother go through his training regimen while also having a chance to watch highlights of his title defense against Puerto Rico?s McWilliams Arroyo as well as the Thai champions quickness and overall skill against Japan?s Kazuto Ioka. The TV special will also recall highlights of the riot-marred 10th round TKO victory of Casimero over IBF light flyweight champion Luis Lazarte in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Casimero has never been afraid to fight abroad and take on all challengers as he did when he defended his title against Mexico?s Pedro Guevara in Sinaloa. Mexico, earning a split decision win to retain his light flyweight title. The show is capped by the spectacular TKO victory of Casimero over highly touted Armando Santos in a title eliminator in Puerto Rico that set up the Saturday night title fight against Ruenroeng who claims he is taller ? which he is ? and more skilled than Casimero although Aljoe Jaro admitted Casimero is the harder puncher. Ruenroeng likened the fight to the May 2 ?Fight of the Century? between undefeated pound for pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr and eight division world champion saying he was Mayweather and Casimero, Pacquiao. Casimero says there?s no way he can throw punches and run, vowing to chase him, catch him and knock him out. By all accounts it won?t be an easy task.
