UNDERCARD RESULTS FROM VERONA, NY

Verona, NY -- Below are the undercard results on the Lucas Matthysse vs Ruslan Provodnikov 12-round junior welterweight bout at the Turning Stone Resort Casino Saturday night:
Vitaly Kopylenko of Kiev, UK scored a unanimous decision against Lekan Byfield of Atlanta, GA. All judges scored the fight 79-72 for the Ukrainian. Kopylenko dropped Byfield in first round.
Guillermo Sanchez of Buffalo, NY lost to Vitor Jones De Olivera of Salvador, Brazil 58-56, 59-55, 59-55. Vitor remained undefeated, 9-0-5KOs
Eddie Gomez improved his record to 18-1, 11 KOs as Jonathan Batista didnt come out after round 5. TKO win for Gomez.
Lamont Roach Jr won an impressive unanimous decision as all three judges scored 60 to 54 for Roach Jr as he improved his undefeated record to 7-0-3 while the loser Jose Miguel Castro worsen his record to 4-3-2.
Paulo Souza of Massachussetts with 0W-7L, lost again as referee stopped the fight in 2:55 in first round, the winner is the hometown kid Sidney McCow, he improved his record to 3W-2L-2KOs.
