NBA -- Warriors rally from 17 down, beat Clips, 110-96

LOS ANGELES -- All-Star Blake Griffin had 40 points on Tuesday night. He also grabbed 12 rebounds and dished 5 assists. Still, it wasn't enough to beat the Golden State Warriors.
Trailing 44-27 with 4:58 left before the half, the Golden State Warriors outscored the Los Angeles Clippers, 83-62, the rest of the way and won their 10th straight following a 110-106 finale at a sold-out Staples Center.
Steph Curry had 27 points for Golden State while Klay Thompson added 25. The Splash Brothers made a combined 7 triples as the Warriors shot 38 of 85 from the field and 8 of 21 from beyond the 3-point arc. David Lee finished with 17 points while Marreese Speights chipped in 13.
"Obviously, we have everything locked up in the West right now. But this was a big win for us," Curry said post-game. It was Warriors' 10th consecutive win, bumping their league-best record to 61-13.
Chris Paul registered 27 points and 9 assists and J.J. Redick added 14. But no other Clipper scored in double figures. Los Angeles, after a hot start, settled with a 43.9 percent clip from the field (36 of 82). The Clippers made just 6 of 22 triples and were outrebounded 43-41.
The home debacle was a big blow for the Clips, who fell to 49-26 and dropped to 5th place in the Western Conference. If the playoffs were to start today, the Clippers will not have homecourt advantage in the opening round and could potentially face the Portland TrailBlazers (48-25).
