NBA -- Nets snap Cavs' four-game win streak By Vadim Atbashyan PhilBoxing.com Sun, 29 Mar 2015 ![]() BROOKLYN -- The Brooklyn Nets pulled away in the fourth quarter of a close game to beat the Cleveland Cavaliers, 106-98, on Friday night at the Barclays Center. It was just the seventh loss in 35 contests for the Cavs, who were outscored 27-19 in the final 12 minutes of play. Joe Johnson finished with 20 points and a season-high nine assists for Brooklyn. All-Star center Brook Lopez also had 20 points and 9 rebounds while going 6-for- 6 from the free throw line. At his post-game press conference, an impressed Nets head coach Lionel stated that rookie Markel Brown's "defense in the first half helped keep us in the game. "It?s a team game, and you need everyone to win, ? Hollins added. Brooklyn?s bench registered an impressive 54 points behind Bojan Bogdanovic?s 18 markers on 7-for-12 shooting. Alan Andersdon and Jarett Jack combined for 29 points and 6 assists as the Nets won without the injured Thaddeus Young (left knee strain). Kyrie Irving led the Cavs with a game-high 26 points while LeBron James had 24 points and 9 assists. Kevin Love pitched in 18 for Cleveland, which shot 45.7 percent from the field but struggled beyond the arc, making only 8-of-30 from long distance. "No excuses, that team over there played better than us tonight,? James said.
