NBA -- Bucks end four-game losing skid with win over Wizards

CHICAGO -- The Milwaukee Bucks snapped their four-game losing streak with a hard-fought 91-85 win over the Washington Wizards on Saturday night at BMO Harris Bradley Center.
Khris Middleton led the triumphant effort with 30 points, including a 3-pointer that broke an 84-84 tie with 40 seconds left to play. The triple was enough cushion for Milwaukee to preserve the victory and improve to 33-29 and sixth place in the Eastern Conference.
After squandering a 17-point lead by scoring just 14 third quarter points, the Bucks recovered to outscore the Wizards 26-22 in the final 12 minutes.
Jerryd Bayless had 14 points off the bench for Milwaukee while Michael Carter-Williams finished with 12 points and nine assists. Irsan Ilyasova added 10 for the Bucks, who made 36 of 78 field goals and 10 of 20 threes.
"He is their designated shooter and we know that. We should have done a better job concentrating our effort on him, running him off the three-point line," Wizards veteran Paul Pierce told ESPN after Middleton burned them for 30 markers on a crisp 11 for 20 shooting which included a 6-for-9 clip from above the 3-point stripe.
The defeat sent the Wizards spiraling down to their eighth loss in 10 games. They still sit at fifth place in the Eastern Conference, but with a 35-28 slate, their lead over the Bucks was sliced to 1 1/2 games.
