PhilBoxing Featured Forum Topic: Banal In Over His Head Against Rosas?

It is a little disconcerting that Rosas's camp is able to study the fight tapes of Banal and dissect his every move from previous bouts. On the one hand. Banal does not have anything to go on save for the verbal info from scouts and Rosas's fight stats.

I know that this is a once in a lifetime opportunity for both Boom-Boom and AJ. Not only to have trained in the US with PacMan at Wild Card, to work out at Camp DLH in PR, but to fight under The World Awaits PPV come May 5. This is a chance not many talented boxers are given. This happens only once.
STILL, the matter of AJ's exuberance exceeding his skill rears its ugly head as far as this particular bout with Alberto Rosas is concerned.
It is undeniable that AJ is in the dark as far as how this fighter really is. We may conjecture and give our armchair analysis of how AJ will pick Rosas out and knock him out. We can always argue that Rosas's record is unblemished because he fought a bunch of nobodies, boxers not near the caliber of AJ. We can insist that AJ has fought tougher boxers. Maybe true,
maybe not. The point is, we don't know.
Partisanship can only go so far. It won't help him inside the ring.
Somebody knows something. Those who know are in Rosas's camp. They have studied AJ's fights. His handlers know. His trainers know. Rosas knows.
Well okay, my bad. Banal knows...
“We don’t have any fight footage of Rosas. We were told he’s good with power and that he is right handed. This is important information for A.J, who is a southpaw.”
Wow. That sure is reassuring.

PS: I hope that AJ's camp is just releasing false info re this bout as part of their fight strategy.
My 2c based on the limited info I read. I'm sure that AJ's handlers are way, way ahead of us.
