Mayweather and Pacquiao come face to face for the first time
By Rich Mazon PhilBoxing.com Wed, 28 Jan 2015

Boxing rivals, Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao both verbalized their desire to face each other. For more than five years now, the meeting never came to fruition.
And then tonight, as spectators of another sport that they love, the two superstar boxers faced each other (and even briefly hugged) at the American Airlines Arena- home of the Miami Heat in Miami, Florida.
Pacquiao, who was in Miami after judging the Miss Universe pageant last Sunday was seated across Mayweather Jr. as the Heat faced the Milwaukee Bucks in their home turf.
Both were beamed in the venue's jumbotron with a caption that states.."Coming in 2015?"
Then TV cameras show them talking briefly to each other, (and looks like there was an exchange of phone numbers at one point) and then hugged as they went back to their respective seats.
According to a source inside the Pacquiao camp, the boxer slash professional basketball player and coach of Kia Motors in the PBA was supposed to fly back to be in the Philippines after his stint as a beauty pageant judge last Sunday to attend to his team's season opener Tuesday in Manila.
But weather and numerous flight cancellations across the United States due to a strong winter storm prevented Pacquiao, his wife Jinkee and his team to get a timely flight back to their mansion in Los Angeles and then to the Philippines.
With an extra day in Miami, the Pacquiao's had another day to roam the city and tonight they were court-side at a Heat game.
And that was all it took for Pacquiao and Mayweather to finally come face to face in what has been the most significant development of this much talked about mega bout.
Boxing keep your fingers crossed.
