NBA -- LeBron's 33 points fall short versus Suns
By Allan Rozic PhilBoxing.com Thu, 15 Jan 2015

CLEVELAND -- In his first game since December 28 last year, a span in which he missed eight consecutive games, LeBron James returned to the lineup and scored 33 points, grabbed seven rebounds and distributed five assists on Tuesday night at the US Airways Center in Phoenix.
But the MVP-like effort fell short as the Cleveland Cavaliers lost to the host Phoenix Suns, 107-100.
With their sixth straight loss, the Cavs dropped to 19-20, sixth place in the Eastern Conference and 11.5 games behind the pace-setting Atlanta Hawks.
James made 11 of 18 field goals in 37 minutes of play but he showed some rust, too, with five turnovers.
"I thought he was terrific," Cavs head coach David Blatt told ESPN. Unfortunately for Cleveland, Kyrie Irving was held to 4-of-11 shooting while Kevin Love, who was also held to nine points, missed 8 of 11 shots and sat out the entire fourth quarter.
Markieff Morris finished with a game-high 35 points on 15-of-21 shooting. He grabbed seven rebounds and provided the late game offense that staved the Cavs, who rallied from 19 points down in the third quarter and regained the lead briefly in the final period.
The rest of the Suns starters all finished in double figures in points.
Goran Dragic had 18 points and four assists while Eric Bledsoe had 12. Alex Len tallied 13 points and 10 rebounds and P.J. Tucker added 10 points.
At 23-18, the Suns remained in eighth place in the Western Conference, three games up on the New Orleans Pelicans and the Oklahoma city Thunder.
