NBA - Clippers rough up Lakers, 114-89

LOS ANGELES -- The so-called Battle of Los Angeles did not live up to the hype.
Blake Griffin scored 27 points and nine rebounds and Chris Paul added 24 points and 11 assists and the Los Angeles Clippers walloped the Los Angeles Lakers, 114-89, on Wednesday night at Staples Center.
Matt Barnes finished with 19 while DeAndre Jordan had 10 points and 13 rebounds for the Clippers, who made a blistering 40 of 85 field goals, including 12 of 33 triples.
The Clips made short work of their in-town rivals by building a 70-48 halftime lead. The Clips poured more points in the third quarter and led 99-63 entering the final period.
"The ball movement was incredible," Barnes told reporters about the Clippers' 29 assists that helped the Clips improved to 24-12.
Wayne Ellington and Jordan Hill led the Lakers with 13 each. Kobe Bryant had an uneventful 28 minutes on the floor, scoring just four points on 2-for-12 shooting.
