NBA -- Clippers rout Sixers for third straight W

LOS ANGELES -- The Los Angeles Clippers dropped 34 first quarter points en route to a 127-91 rout of the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday night at the Staples Center.
All-Star point guard Chris Paul presided over the one-sided affair with 24 points and 12 assists. J.J. Redick had 17 and Blake Griffin finished with a relatively quiet 15. Jordan Farmar and Jamal Crawford combined for 25 off the bench and the Clippers won their third straight.
Los Angeles lit up Philly with 46 of 85 field goals made, a crisp 54.1 percent clip. The Clippers also made 15 of 37 triples while their defense held the Sixers to just 40.5 percent shooting (32-of-79).
Now at 23-11, the Clips remained in sixth place in the highly competitive Western Conference.
Tony Wroten sizzled for 27 points but it wasn't enough for Philadelphia, which got pounded 39-17 in the fourth quarter. Robert Covington recorded 23 points for the Sixers, who fell to 4-28 following their fifth consecutive setback.
