NBA - Sixers erase 23-point deficit to upset Miami
By Kirk Coyoca PhilBoxing.com Wed, 24 Dec 2014

MIAMI- On the eve of Lebron James' return to American Airlines Arena, the Heat may have hit rock bottom this season.
The NBA's worst team, the Philadelphia 76ers came back from 23-points down in the third quarter to stun the Miami Heat at home, 91-87 en route to its 4th win of the season.
Miami sprinted to a 57-42 lead in the first half and for a while there appeared to be on its way to blow out the last place 76ers 69-46 with 8:11 left in the third quarter.
But Michael Carter-Williams, who scored 20 points and dished out 5 assists led a spirited Sixers comeback as they outscored Miami 41-13 for a span of about 16 minutes in the second half which eventually sealed a rare win for Philadelphia.
"I think we just keep fighting," Carter-Williams spoke with reporters after the game. "We're losing, there's not much we can do but keep plugging, trying to come back, especially when there's time left in the game."
Forward Luc Richard Mbah a Moute added 19 points and 6 rebounds for the Sixers, who just dressed eight players for that game due to injuries and personnel changes.
It was a tough pill to swallow for Heat star Dwyane Wade and his crew, who were hoping to finally get its first winning streak at home. Wade scored 17 of his 23 points in the first half while Shawne Williams chipped in 17 points in a losing effort.
"It ain't going to get no worse than this," Heat guard Dwyane Wade said after the game.
Miami is slated to face Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers on Christmas Day while the Sixers will carry its two-game winning streak and visit Portland on Friday.
