Tibay ng Pinoy V at 5 p.m. Nov. 8

PhilBoxing.com

AT EXACTLY 5 p.m. tomorrow Saturday Nov. 8 the "Tibay ng Pinoy V" boxing card will immediately start its scheduled 11 exciting matches at the Almendras gym.

"Magsisimula agad tayo ng alas singko ng hapon upang matapos tayo ng maaga," said promoter Joven Jimenez at the presscon today (Nov. 7) held at The Royal Mandaya Hotel.

Admission is free to the public.

The main event will feature the 12-round title-fight for the vacant undisputed Philippine jr. welterweight king Adones Cabalquinto against Pankorn Singwangcha of Thailand for the vacant WBC Asian Boxing Council light welterweight crown.
"Gagawin ko po ang lahat upang manalo bukas," said Cabalquinto, a native of Talaingod, Davao del Norte.

Sigwangcha, on the other hand, said that he is prepared to beat Cabalquinto according to Jimenez.

Pitted in the main supporting bout are Aston "Diego Corales" Palicte (14W-1L-0D) of MP Stable Davao and Gerpaul Valero Singwancha (18W-15L-2D) of Wakee Salud Stable-Cebu (10 rds.-115 lbs.).

Palicte earlier said that he will go for a 5th round knockout. But Valero just laughed on Palicte's statement.

"Tingnan na lang po natin sa laban," said Valero, who is a substitue for his missing stablemate and former Philippine super flyweight champion Marco Demecillo.

Another exciting match-up is the 10-rounder 115 lbs. bout of former WBA Interim champion Drian "Gintong Kamao" Francisco (25W-2L-1D) of Justine Fortune Stable USA against John Mark Apolinario (17W-2L-2D) of Mayor Lopez Stable-Maasim.

Six other upcoming fighters from the MP Stable Davao will also see action in the promotion sponsored by Pepsi, Ceeritos Mitsubishi, South Coast Mitsubishi, The Royal Mandaya Hotel and city government of Davao.

Undefeated Jonel "Sniper" Dapidran (5W-0L-0D) fights Hagibis Quinones (4W-12L-1D) of Gen. Santos (8 rds.-136 lbs.).
Marvilo "The King" Aballe (4W-0L-0D) takes on Khunkiri Wor Visaruth (15W-9L-0D) of Thailand (8 rds.-119 lbs.); Jay-Ar "Hitman" Inson (5W-0L-0D) vs. Phil Ancamor (12W-21L-3D) of Kaamino Stable-Valencia City (8 rds.-136 lbs.);
Genesis Libranza (4W-0L-0D) vs. Charlie Cabilla (14W-13L-4D) of Kaamino Stable (8 rds.-109 lbs.);
Rene Mark Cuarto (2W-0L-0D) vs. Jayson Sanchez (0W-1L-0D) of Dr. Sajulga Stable-Malaybalay (4 rds.-105 lbs.); Aries Buenavidez (0W-0L-0D) vs. Sammy Caballero (0W-0L-0D) of Angeles Stable-Malaybalay (4 rds.-113 lbs.).

Also featured are JR Edurot (10W-2L-0D) of LBS Sanman Stable-GenSan vs. former PBF champion Philip Parcon (28W-19L-2D) of Davao City (6 rds-122 lbs.) and Marquil Salvana (4W-0L-1D) of LBS Sanman Stable-GenSan vs. Paolo Perono (2W-5L-1D) of Davao (6 rds.-123 lbs.) - LITO DELOS REYES
