2016 NBA FINALS --- Warriors steam roll Cavaliers, 110 -77, to take a 2 - 0 lead

OAKLAND-- This time, it was Draymond Green's turn to shine.

Green, one of Golden State's fabulous Big 3, was simply amazing on Sunday night, shooting 11-of--20 from the field, including 5 for 8 behind the arc. The versatile 6-foot-7 small forward was all over the Oracle Arena, flexing his muscles on both ends of the floor.

Behind Green's 28 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists, the defending world champion Warriors chased the Cleveland Cavaliers out of their building with a 110-77 Game 2 rout to take a 2-0 series lead in their best-of-7 NBA Finals.

The Warriors' "Strength in Numbers" battle cry was in full display once again. After their bench out-scored the Cavs reserves 45-10 in Game 1, Golden State's starters hammered the Cavs' first stringers 70-47 in Game 2.

Reigning MVP Stephen Curry played limited minutes in the second and third quarters due to foul trouble, but he still managed with 18 points on 7-for-11 shooting. His Splash Brother, Klay Thompson, pitched in 17 points as the All-Star backcourt recovered nicely after combining for just 20 points in Game 1.

Lebron James led the Cavs with 19 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists but Kyrie Irving struggled mightily, missing 9 of 14 shots for a mere 10 points. Kevin Love, who logged just 20 minutes after taking an inadvertent elbow to the head in the third quarter, was held to 5 points.

Trailing 28-22 early in the second quarter, the Warriors went on a 20-2 to seize control. They never relinquished the lead and the Cavaliers had no answers.

"They just beat us, We didn't win anything. No points of the game did we beat them in anything." a dejected Lebron James said during his post-game press conference. The 4-time MVP took the blame for the loss and vowed to clean up his turnovers in Game 3.

"Draymond does everything for us, he defends, when we play our small line-up he is our rim protector. It's a tough job in this series because he has to guard Kevin Love who's usually spaced out at the 3 point line. So, he has to pick his spots. He knocked down his three point shots which is a bonus." Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said.

Game 3 of there NBA Finals shifts to Cleveland for Game 3 and 4 at the Quicken Loans Arena beginning on Wednesday night (Thursday AM in Manila.)
