Pacquiao-Mayweather in Manila II

PhilBoxing.com

Manny (Pacman) Pacquiao, sensing that his May 7TH assignment at the MGM Grand Arena against Shane Mosley could turn out to be a gross war, flies out of Manila for his Wildcard gym in L.A (Saturday) where more rigidly- precise sparring sessions await him.

Pacman who has gone through 15 years of harsh punching in various boxing pits has put the eyes of the planet on his brand of beakbusting. That?s a given.

Now, he winds up his life?s work in a battle against Mosley at the Grand in Las Vegas, capped by a fight that?s been eluding him---a match he considers a career-ending blockbuster against Floyd Mayweather Jr.

With no one around save for the flamboyant Floyd Jr., Money May (as he loves branding himself) looms as the lone, undefeated yet untouched adversary of the Pinoy Idol who could bring in lucrative dividends.

So very likely, the winner in the Pacquiao-Mosley world welterweight championship (beamed by Showtime-CBS) will move on to that much- anticipated showdown with Mayweather

(I know my eyes are shot but I am not seeing any upstarts or veteran contenders who are in a position to block our Pinoy Icon?s inexhorable mambo with Pretty Boy Floyd Junior.)

Know what? I?ve been doing the rounds and foremost among the queries I got in my unscientific poll centered on ?how Shane will fare against Manny.?

Most replied; ? poorly owing to his age....40 peaches in September while Manny at 32 remains competitive, magical, interesting and spectacular.

In his 57 at bats, Pacman scored 52 wins, 3 losses and chilled 38 netting 8 world championships while the Sugarman tucked in three world titles in 3 weight classes.

And what has the ?PB Floyd? done outside of being unbeaten in facing "no toughies" in his resume of victims?

Staying undefeated---so far.

So, while the ?talented boxer with sound fistic skills? is cooling his heels as he await the winner of the Shane-Manny brawl , plans are being mulled at a fever-pitch to have it staged in Manila.

A Thrilla in Manila II? Believe it or not.

But will Mayweather fight here if ever.

For fifty million bucks (net) and with the huge pay per view take, Mayweather will swim to Manila to fight Pacquiao even if the Philippines' Idol arms himself with a pistol and a bazooka.

I hope that I ain?t makin? the wrong assumption that Floyd Junior would?nt drown en route since his mouth is always open and yapping.
