Acapulco, Ready and Connected to Host the 64th WBC Annual Convention

The World Boxing Council is preparing to celebrate its highly anticipated 2026 Annual Convention, taking place from November 8th to 13th at the majestic Palacio Mundo Imperial in Acapulco, Guerrero, bringing and drawing together the world’s top boxing figures once again.

Thanks to its extensive air connectivity network via the Acapulco International Airport, the international boxing delegation—comprising champions, legends, promoters, officials, physicians, and media members—will enjoy direct access from major hubs across Mexico and abroad:

Regular national routes: Direct connections from Mexico City (AICM and AIFA), Guadalajara, Monterrey, Tijuana, Querétaro, and Puebla.

Winter season international routes: Strategic flights from Dallas, Houston, and Montreal.

Upcoming openings: Scheduled connection with Cancún to further strengthen the tourism network.

• Official inauguration and General Session: Protocolary assembly and plenary sessions addressing rules, technology, medical protocols, and social responsibility initiatives.

• Training and sports justice: Intensive seminars and criteria-unification clinics for judges and referees worldwide.

• Live boxing night: A special high-profile card featuring headline bouts with Skye Nicolson and Tiara Brown.

• Specialized workshops: Working sessions on sports medicine, institutional marketing, and community outreach programs through WBC Cares.

• Social events and gala: Welcome cocktail, the traditional Gala Night, Farewell Dinner, and the iconic talent show “From Greatest Punches to Greatest Hits”.
