NBA - Durant out indefinitely with foot fracture

SAN FRANCISCO -- Reigning NBA MVP Kevin Durant will miss at least the early part of the 2014-15 regular after suffering what was described as a "broken bone at the base of the small toe," ESPN reported.
There is no immediate timetable for the multiple Al-Star's return but based Oklahoma City Thunder GM Sam Presti suggested a 6- to 8 weeks of absence based on the recovery time of other NBA players who had suffered the same fate.
The fracture was discovered after the Thunder's Saturday morning practice when Durant complained of an "aching" right foot. KD will consult with specialists in the next few days to determine if surgery is necessary.
Durant won MVP honors last season after averaging 32 points, 7.4 rebounds and 5.5 assists in 81 games. (JSM)
